Social And Emotional Well Being (SEWB)

The Social and Emotional Team is made up of a range of professional workers including Social Workers; Counsellors and Aboriginal Family Support Workers who provide a  culturally secure counselling, advocacy and support service for a range of issues including:

  • Stolen Generation;
  • Child Removal;
  • Grief and Loss;
  • Past Traumas;
  • Family Relationships;
  • Family Violence;
  • Child Maltreatment;
  • Sexual Abuse;
  • Self Esteem;
  • Cultural Identity;
  • Alcohol and Other Drug Use;
  • Mental Health; Suicidal Intentions/Thinking;
  • Self Harming Behaviours.

The SEWB team also liaises with other service providers:

  • Advocating for fair and culturally secure service delivery
  • Providing support and advocacy for clients in their dealings with other agencies
  • Providing access to specialist service providers, where appropriate.

The SEWB team provides outreach across the South West Region to individuals of all ages and families. Referrals are received from individuals, family and community members and from a range of other agencies. Referrals will only be accepted with the permission of the person being referred.  We also provide capacity building workshops and camps to community members throughout the South West Region.
